Sambal is an Indonesian/Malaysian chili sauce, that comes in a variety of flavors. The basic chili sauce is made from a mixture of different chili peppers, with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar, and lime juice. Sambal “Brandal” is a dark, spicy, fried sambal.

Serving suggestion: the ideal spicy flavor maker for any dish, soup, or sauce. Mix one tablespoon of Sambal Brandal with 250ml tomato ketchup, 1 tablespoon of our Ketjap Manis, 1 finely chopped onion and a dash of salt. Use as the ultimate Asian marinade for your next batch of grilled chicken.
