Sambal Badjak (Extra Hot)

Sambal is an Indonesian/Malaysian chili sauce, that comes in a variety of flavors. The basic chili sauce is made from a mixture of different chili peppers, with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar, and lime juice. Sambal “Badjak (extra hot)” is a dark, very spicy sambal without added salt, and with some candlenut.

Serving suggestion: the ideal spicy flavor maker for any dish, soup, or sauce. Try to add one teaspoon of Sambal Badjak (extra hot) to our Green Pea Soup to get that ultimate East-meets-West flavor!
