Hot Smoked Norwegian Mackerel Fillet

This often-overlooked Little King of Fish should be on everybody’s plate: with its high levels of essential fatty acids, protein, Omega-3, vitamin D and selenium it packs a punch for your health. Our Smoked Norwegian Mackerel Fillet is hot smoked, which means that it has been at the same time cooked and smoked over a fire. No bones, so easy to eat. You will love its firm bite and deliciously smokey taste.

Serving suggestion: if you want to try a sensation of flavors, then prepare this unique dish. Chop 1 fennel bulb in quarters, then thinly slice all 4 parts. Peel a beet root, and cut a small cucumber in half. Cut both ingredients also in thin slices. Put all in a bowl, and add 1 finely chopped apple (without skin), and mix well with 100g of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of lemon/lime juice. Add some freshly ground pepper and dill to taste. Rub the Hot Smoked Norwegian Mackerel Fillet in a bit of olive oil and some ground pepper, and heat in frying pan for 1 minute. Serve the mackerel on top of the salad.
